Somewhat of a quick question for you guys (I hope)...
I'm doing a large overhaul of my 2008 Cobalt LS's audio equipment (pretty much everything but the head unit). I installed new Alpine speakers already, and I'm hopefully doing an 200W Alpine 4 channel amp for the speakers, 500W Alpine mono amp and 12" Alpine Type R sub on Wednesday.
I already have the lineout converters, power cable, signal cables, fuses, etc... but my questions are the following:
1.) Is the stock speaker cable sufficient for the new speakers/amp, or do I NEED to run new cabling to the speakers?
2.) I understand that the Cobalt's battery is located in the trunk, does this mean I can run the power from the trunk, or where do I need to run the power cable to?
I quite appreciate your time.
