talked to a co about my build, went out and got a 2009 2.2l motor to do internal work so that i dont have to put the balt away while i do the build. Being the grand pre worshiper that he is, he said that he has heard of people putting a 3800 in a caviler. Is this possible? and if so, im guessing there would be majer fabrications to the axle, fire wall, obviously new motor mounts... is this possible?

there's some vida on youtube of them in cavy's. I wouldnt do it though. Waste of time and money when u could just throw on a turbo or supercharger and get more power

I have a buddy who has a Series II Supercharged 3800 in his Cavalier... If he's in 4th gear and hammers on the loud pedal, allowing it to build 10lbs of boost, the car skates all over the road in a plume of tire smoke. Wicked fast car. He's in the process of doing a 3400 swap right now in another car.

Is it do-able...sure it is, with time and effort, but I would find another DD so you can work on it..its not a weekend project.
