Hello everyone, new forum member here who recently bought a 2009 Chevy Cobalt. It seems like a good car and I really like it, but it makes a clunking sound when I go over bumps and a couple mechanics I brought it to can't seem to find what it is caused by. All suspension related items are pretty much new, including new struts, strut mounts, control alarms, etc. I removed the engine cover to get a better look, then I noticed when pushing on the suspension with the engine cover off it didn't make the noise anymore. Does anyone know what could possibly be causing this noise with the engine cover on?
