I have a 05 Chevy Cobalt with only 31 thousand original miles. I have an intermitnet problem using the key fobs to lock and
unlock the doors. On a warm day my remote works fine only after the sun comes up. In the evening when the sun goes down
it wont work at all. I thought it might be the key fob receiver located under the dashboard right below the right side of the
windshield. The problem is I can reprogram my new remotes. and I can't find anything that I can use to lock and unlock the
doors all the time. The receiver part number is 21994227. The dealership has discontinued this part. My only source now is
a junk or salvage yard, but no one in Pensacola has one. I was wondering if there is another vehicle that might be using that
same part number or another outlet for using an aftermarket receiver and new key fobs. I'm wore out looking for answers.
I went to several mechanic shops and no one was able to reprogram new remotes for this car. HELP, please. This is my
granddaughters car and she needs it for work....
