Eng Swap

Can i swap a L61 eng from a 2006 Chevy cobalt to 2008 Pontiac G5 which has a L61?

I currently have a 2008 Pontiac G5 with a bad eng It has a 2.2 L61. I got a good eng from a damaged 2006 cobalt 2.2 L61. I discovered the the cover for the Valve Rocker & Camshaft are different. and the Ignition Coil & harness are different.

Do I need to swap out the Hairiness to fit the eng?

The cover from the cobalt will fit the bad eng but the bad eng's cover will not fit the good engine.

The valve cover and coil harness should swap over from your G5 onto the good Cobalt motor. I believe everything else is the same. But you can check that with the motor out.
