I went to check the air filter (it's 38K miles old and still relatively clean  ) and when I pulled the lid the PCV spud that sticks out of the charge pipe broke in half. 80 bucks later a new OEM pipe is on. really pissed about that.

I also noticed quite a bit of sticky oil sludge in the tube and the inlet to the turbo. These cars need an oil air separator. I have a design that will work but you must have an aftermarket charge pipe to use it. I will give you the specs and design or even build it for you if you like.

Here's my web page for the one I use on Mustangs, it'll be very similar to the one for cobalts.
Square Root of One Racing Products

They cost about 80-100 bucks to build but it's worth it to keep oil out of the turbo and intake.
