Just got a 2006 Cobalt LS 2.2 yesterday. Turned on the radio and notice the front speakers are inoperable, but here’s the kicker. The warning chimes ARE working. It’s only when I turn on the radio that they don’t. I messed with the fade and balance and if I select front only, a faint audio at high volume can be heard from the BACK speakers. The back speakers are fine. I get good bass and all that. If the chimes were not working I’d suspect bad front speakers. From what I’ve heard the factory ones are junk.
