So it seems like every profile i click on, that person hasnt been on ccf since 2009. We need to weed out the ppl or set up something to where if you havent posted anything in like 2 years, your profile get deleted. or something like that. TOM?

Yea, it wouldn't work out if we did that. Now if the member has 0 posts for over like 2 years, maybe we can prune them.

I like the 0 posts in 2 years thing, or maybe a certain number of posts within the 1st week or something?

I have seen several people joining this forum in the last months, they all come with some random introductions on how they got problems with their balts and never post again

It happens and it will always happen. I just hope a few of those random users hang around, and some do.

Yea, I agree. We shouldn't DELETE the older members that have higher posts, just the new users that just create an account to get some help for one problem then just never come back to the site again.

Why, may I ask, does it matter?

pointlessness is pointless

though i have known a lot of people through the years that "lurk" around the forums for up to a year or more just reading before they post something.
I would ask why we need to delete them? I know its annoying to have so many, but imagine if you created an accnt, didnt use it for a bit, came back, and it was deleted?

I would say we should go by "Last Visit" date instead...if they dont sign on for maybe....1 yr and have no posts, then lets boot them.

I'm an active member on a couple cobalt forums and a semi active member on a few other cobalt sites (including this one) I like being a member even though I don't always post because I use these sites as a reference when I need to figure something out. If I need to post a question I can, but I usually am able to find whatever answers I need just by looking around enough. These forums serve a couple purposes; as a community where like minded people can get together and chat and share info etc. second it serves as a source of information for us newbs who want to find info for working on our cars. Just because someone isn't an active member doesn't mean that they should be completely deleted as a member...
