Hey guys I've been away for a while, but now coming home I realize that I want a better sounding system in my car.

I want to get a new headunit, sub(s), speakers and amp.

Which would you guys recommend for a fairly inexpensive price?

Thanks in advance.

Bang for the buck is jvc, I was not to impressed with the older stuff but their newer stuff has been working really well for many of the installs I have done. You get good sound quality, tons of options and all about 1/2 the price of some of the upper brand names. I always have prefered alpine subs or rockfords for sound as well as their amps.

Alright so.

A friend of mine who works at an audio place told me for now just to get a Sony Xplod Head Unit.

I think I'm going to end up getting that.

Now for the speakers - what size are the speakers in the 06 LS Coupe? Front doors and back doors?

The front's are 6 1/2 the rears are 6x9.

What type of sub are you looking for?
I have a 12 inch Infinity sub rated at 350 RMS in sealed box that i'm trying to sell local on Craigs List for $85

It hits nice and hard and clear.

I'm only selling it because since I got the factory box i have no need for it.

Really looking for any type of sub that will just sound better than the stock one... trying to not have awful distortion when I blast my gangsta rap. :D
