I just picked up a used 2006 Cobalt LS coupe, 2.2L I4, manual transmission. Has been running great but I'm pretty sure the motor mount in loose and needs replacement (car shakes significantly when A/C is turned on, even if the car is in neutral). The check engine light just went on, I checked it with my own ODB-II scanner and it gave me the DTC code P0506, saying "Idle Air Control System RPS Lower Than Expected". I noticed that even with the A/C off, the engine seems to dip to low RPM once I reach a stop and shake once or twice before running smoothly. Did a quick search and found this is commonly caused by faulty idle air control motor, vacuum leaks, dirty throttle body, and some more issues. Wondering if there is any chance the motor mount is causing this issue.
Sorry for the long post, please let me know if anybody has any experience/advice for this. Thanks!
