I drove 20 miles to work Friday. The car ran fine. I go to leave work, and it just cranks....cranks.....cranks, sputters maybe once every 5-10 tries and..nothing. I checked power to the fuel pump fuse and it's good. I ran my fuel tank low a few times in a few weeks, so I thought I burned my fuel pump up. Being desperate, I bought a new one, and I'm still not hearing it engage down below. I've had several people listen for different opinions (including myself).

I also tried a cam and crank sensor just because they're inexpensive and it couldn't hurt to at least try.

I've run out of ideas and money.

Should I begin tracing wiring? Could there be a short? Where do I even begin tracing this? I'm pretty much screwed if I don't get her running again since I just started a new job and my boss doesn't appreciate nor forgive absences.

I thought of maybe trying to run a jumper wire, but where would I run it?

Does the pump prime when you turn the key to ON before cranking it?

After all I've tried, I figured out two things:

1) I burned up my SECOND fuel pump in a few months.
2) I bought a Cobalt

Since I got the pump replaced....AGAIN, I'll be repairing the 2nd problem asap.
