Hey folks. I have been poking around on this site for the past couple days and I figured I might as well make an account...

So my wife and bought our daughter a 2008 Cobalt for her first car. Ran great for 3 days, then the other night my daughter and I were driving and the car just shut off going down the road. We got it pulled over thankfully. We got it towed home and I figured out the fuel pump isn't getting power. I hooked a code reader up to it and the reader wouldn't power on. I tried it on another car just to be safe and it worked fine. It turns over like a champ, all the gauges work when you turn on the key. So far just no power to the fuel pump and OBD-II port.

I called one of the local dealers to see if there were any recalls on the car and found that the ignition switch has not yet been replaced.

I've been looking for a wiring diagram that would show what other circuits of the car would be out if the ignition switch isn't powering up the fuel pump but haven't had any luck. Would any of you folks happen to know what else I could check to verify that the ignition switch is the cause?

    Thanks,

    Brandon

Oh the car is an LT model with a 2.2L if that makes any difference.
