Any tips on how to install the emergency cable on 2006 Cobalt

Hi,

I'm currently working on the brake drums of my 2006 Cobalt and it is a pain, specially the emergency brake cable, in fact I couldn't do one, I just gave up, trying to compress the spring to get it in to the show is extremely hard.

Do you guys have any tips on how to do this or is this just a 2-3 people job?

Can't say that I've ever had to mess with the E brake part of those things. Any chance you could toss up a picture?

i've been known to build things out of c-clamps before. i could see myself trying to make a compressor with one if i were in that predicament... may not be any help, but subscribed!
