    Hello,

I took my 05 Cobalt 2.2 into the shop the other day for some unrelated work. During my time there, I was advised that I needed to repair/replace the inner tie rod ends and sway bar links. They stated that both items were loose. I can say that there is a good deal of shaking felt in the steering wheel at all speeds up until reaching cruising speed (around 70mph), and definitely when I step on the brakes. My question is this: If I'm replacing the inner tie rod ends, should I just go ahead and replace the outer tie rod ends as well. Is there anything else that I should look at replacing that might be contributing to the shaking that I'm feeling in the steering wheel?

    Thanks for your insight!

You may as well go ahead and replace inner and outer tire rods if they said the inners are loose. Normally I'd expect the outers to be the first ones loose.

Have your brake rotors and wheel bearing checked too.
