on my 2009 cobalt lt i installed a rearview backup camera. the only problem is that as soon as i put it in drive the camera comes on and stays on? the the back up light socket has three wires, two black and one green. i know the green is ground so i hooked up one wire (black, from the camera) to one of the black wires and the other wire (red, from the camera to a yellow wire) and i know that is wrong, how do i find out which black wire going to the backup light is power, so i can get the camera only to come on when the car is in reverse? help please.

email me at [email protected]

thanks :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Tap into and see which wire leads to a open loop circuit to the reverse. Like if the reverse lights have 3 wires then 1 is hot. 1 is ground. 1 is signal. Tap into the signal since it closed the circuit when going into reverse

I sent this thru the Intranet™
