Hi,

I currently own a 2006 Chevy Cobalt and I have been reciently hearing a wierd noise on the rear driver side tire and today I decided to remove the drums to see what the problem was and to my surprise the big wire (or spring) that holds both shoes was broken, so I decided to replace it, I spent close to 5 hours trying to put this wire back but I couldnt make it reach the holes on the shoes, so now I'm wondering if I should be using a special tool to flex the hard wire or how is this usually installed? To me this looks almost impossible.

Can someone be so kind and tell me how is this done?

Thanks a lot!
