I have a 2007 cobalt SS 4 door automatic. I purchased 2 new key fabs a few months ago, so they should be good. All the buttons work except the remote start, which just quit working a few days ago... the light flashes, but nothing else happens. I'v seen to check the hood latch sensor, but how does a person check to see if it has gone out??? or any other idea???

I don't have remote start, so I won't be much help.

Hopefully the others will chime in.

If you have any "check engine codes" it will not remote start. You can also check the hood sensor for continuity.

I've actually been looking into this as of late. Your hood latch has the hood switch on it, one of those pins gets grounded when the hood is closed. So if you disconnect it and ground the correct one the car should start.
