who cares? camaro is a cooler car. if i want a mustang i'll buy one cause i like it. not because i hate the camaro or it's faster.

i generally buy my vehicles now based on overall performance(interior doesn't do shit so lol w/e) The Camaro SS and new 5.0 Mustang GT are probably very close performance-wise so for me it would come down to $$$ who gives me a better deal on the car. The Cobalt was the same way, brand new I got a better deal on the Cobalt SS than I would on a WRX/Mazda3Speed and that was the selling point.

why? because i was trying to be smart with my money? Your telling me that back when you bought your cobalt that if a brand new mazda3speed or WRX was $5000 cheeper you wouldn't have gotten the mazda3speed or WRX over the cobalt? I know I would have jumped on either of those 2 if I was given a deal for $5000 less than the cobalt. Both have proven track performance and a better interior than the Cobalt, overall aftermarket support is better for them, and generally overall power can be matched mod for mod more/less, put the same GT28 turbo with proper supporting mods and tuning on all 3 drivetrains and you'll get similar results more/less.

2011 Z28 owns your face

really? i bet my civic would destroy a Z28 in auto-x, open road course no, but auto-x my civic kills the Z28. As for the 2011 Z28 VS the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L with some type of "extra" suspension package I'd bet the Z28 would have ample competition. Time will tell this tale

I bet my brother's, sister's, uncle's, former roommate's Elise would rape your civic.
Lets makes some more comparisons where the example is so specific that there really wasn't a discussion to begin with.

It took Ford a DOHC, a bore and stroke increase to match what Chevy did with a push rod. Chevy upped the bar again with the z28 concept (adding the LS9), its going to be like that forever. Now this!, oh no now this!
Why do you have a Chevy if you're going to bash them?

Since you obviously have no clue as to my situation let me enlighten you, my chevy was hit by a gravel truck on the freeway and I was a second or 1 meter the wrong way from death. And FYI, the Cobalt SS LNF at each magazine track session testing was accompanied by a full GM team with track tires, track brake pads, track brake rotors, track alignment, the rest of the competition showed up 100% showroom condition........GM more or less "Cheated" on the Cobalt SS LNF magazine track testing sessions.

As for the back and fourth battle for who can make the "best" car, yea it will go on forever, in the end tho I doubt I will own another GM, it will either be Honda's or Subaru's for the rest of my life.

We weren't talking about the balts man, we were hashing the everlasting Ford Vs. Chevy discussion. Where did this come from?
