it messes with the balance of the crank. the 1 or 2hp free'd up from a lighter crank pully isnt worth cutting your engines life span down.

cool. thanks. you still gonna run the t3/t4 turbo or goin bigger?

i'm not quite sure what you guys keep saying t3/t4 as a size. any time i google t3/t4 a bolt pattern for turbo mounting shows up. the size of my turbo has been and always will be a t-60 hybrid with ceramic ball bearings

but i'll be adding a second turbo to the system. not a twin turbo set up, a compound turbo set up.

Sweet, looking forward to your updates on what your doing, just picked up a 2.2 out of an 05 balt for $50, guy works at a dealership and they were going to junk it. says it just has a slight ting in the top of the motor, but when they drained the oil it was a 1 1/2 quarts overfull, so could have been to much oil. Guy just wanted a new motor.
anyway, we are going to put it on a stand and build it ......need ideas............................

yeah, with any kind of knock at all, get pistons and rods, boost it. now if the motor was still in good condition you could just boost it at 8lbs w/ a motor mounted turbo and put out 240ish hp depending on how much CFM's the turbo was moving.

I run 10lbs on my current stock motor and make 258whp but i have a rear mounted turbo. a.k.a. STS turbo set up.

The pistons and rods are in and torqued down to manual directed spec. Just need to get a degree wrench so i can torque it an additional 100 degree's as per the manual.
