head unit

need help picking a head unit.. looking for somthing nice but cant seem find anything any thoughts?

IMO alpine is better.....but i've been an alpine fan from day one...

OP its going to come down to what you prefer...or what options you are looking for in a head unit...or how much you are willing to spend...

^^This..I went cheap with a sony Xplod H/U and i mean it works good and all but you could do better, just gunna wait for the warranty on this one to go out.

well ive been lookin at alpine clarion kenwood pioneer im looking for somthing that has a nice look to it and good screen i like the animation stuff.. but most everything on the martket is lacking in display part unless you buy a dvd head unit.. it seems im looking at the..

ya the nice displays went a while back. clarion isn't bad but i wouldn't consider them good either. id take that sony over the clarion to be honest with you

Alpine is the way to go, thata what Eazy E always rapped about, its all I've ever owned. The one I have in the balt also charges my Ipod

ill post pics when i get everything installed .. heres what i have so far the pioneer 2300 dvd , an epic 150 bass processor with voltage and spl display.. , have power bass3xl componets with kevlar cones and 6x8 3xl rears made adaptors and a crunch 900 watt 4 channel amp with crossover to power mids and rears .. have a powerbass 3xl 10 750rms 10.. with a power akustic 3200 watt amp so i have room to upgrade with out buying a bigger amp .. im gona run 2 batterys in serries and hope thats enought power lol.. any thoughts let me knoe thanks

hopefully you run 2 batteries in parallel instead of series. series is 24v of cobalt computer frying power

the 2300s are nice. idk if they are better then the 2010 3200 but its a toss up

yea sry about that i ment parallel not series i dont knoe what i was thinkin.. yea might upgrade to one 15 or two.. wheres most of the cobalt rattles come from any pointers to adress before i get started?

300 buxs was a good deal for the 2300 with the dash kit and ant. adapter

most rattles come from the rear deck. but ive dampened every piece of metal on my car i can get to so i might have a distorted reality of what actually rattles other then the rear deck

even the smallest 15" speaker needs 1.75sq' of air space. Which means your going to dedicate your entire trunk to just the 15's. Have to put the amp and stuff someplace else. Just get a couple of 12's, or even some 10's

alil update i got my pioneer double din installed was easy... intalled 2 more leds incup holders and wired up amp for mids and highs and wired up my sub and started to break it in anyone knoe how long breakin is on subs? ive herd 20hours.. it pounds even with only 200 watts goin in it
