Well I had a few spots of clear peeling up, soooooo wet sanding with 1600 grit did the trick, but the poor paint job that was done previously had to have had on coat of color, because i sanded through the clear, the color, the primer, and back too original yellow. Wtf. Well I'm fixed the quarter panel, but the bottom of the door are going to get some black. I was going to pull my strips, but the clear looks like its peeling too. I dont want to try and blend more than I have to, or spray the entire car. Pics will be loaded next week.

yeah. i can fix it, but it will be a long process where i may need to bring in a professional. i know a guy down the road. may be he can help me out once i get the colors.

its been planned out, but i guess application is warranted now. fucking maico paint jobs. i knew something was up from the peeling clear, and the slightly different shade of yellow.

next problem....where the **** is yellow?!?!?!? there isw zinc, and race yellow in duplicolor....of course autozone, advanced, a local place doens't have it. so this is a serious problem for me at the moment. but it will look good when it is finished.

i haven't been able to make it to the auto paint place around here before they close to get the right color. the 3 shades of yellow i have found weren't close enough to leave on. this grey primered quarter is driving me crazy. so i think i am taking monday off to get it.

Some O'Reilly and AutoZone shops mix paint, they can probably make something that matches. It's that or the dealership. Even after painting it that panel won't blend right since the other paint has been in the sun longer.

i know it wont be perfect, but i did try 2 different yellow rattle cans just so it wasn't grey anymore and it is way off. the autozones dont mix around here. and they have like 60 different duplicolor touch up cans, but of course no yellow. there is an autobody supply place close that i am going to tomorrow. they'll mix me up the right color. getting the same pinstripe might be a bit of an issue though too.

this would be the last ditch alternative. lmao

Well a pint was $36, so I'll be pulling out the gun for this job. I guess I could do the hood to get rid of the chips too. Lol. Maybe even the front bumper. Lol. I dont think a pint will cover that much though.

That's ridiculous. 1600 grit through clear/paint and primer?? It must of been spray bombed on or you were sanding way too long. Hope it's turning out well!
