ok..i have no general knowledge of anything car-related....i'm SLOWLY learning....that being said, i want a header and DP for the 2.2 .....reading through webpage after webpage and forum after forum is great....i found alot of information....but i dont know what the hell any of it means...

can someone break it down for me barney style..

ex...whats the difference between a "shorty header" and a mid-length...

is a header/DP combo worth it or is it better for them to be seperate...

am i really going to gain anything with this mod....ive read of minimal gains and then there are those who claim like 15hp....or is it purely dependent on the car/driver...

for the non-mechanically inclined....how hard of an install, special tools required..etc etc etc

i swear i'm not trying to be a pain the a$$....i just want to learn before i go waste my money....thanks guys and gals!...:hands:

shorty replaces only your exhaust manifold, and you can still use the stock downpipe, the midlenght will either come with its own downpipe or will require your stock one to be moded...

you should be able to do it, but know that some bolts may be rusted in place pretty good and may take some umph to get out.
i would DEF get a combo, it assures fitment and usually will show best results.
you will show a gain, but only good ones ifyou have an exhaust too, and a tune will make this more apparent.

i concur with what these fine gentleman have told u and i raise once notch

from what i understand another dif in short, midlength, and long tube= different torque curves. short= good lowend like currently, midlength raises it some but still have some of ur lowend. and long tubes are from what i understand generally better for boosted apps because u have a higher torque curve
