Nope it's a hand held tuner that your can flash back and forth between stock and their performance tune . It's been dynoed at 288whp and 311Wtq. It also had a code reader /clearer and data logging capabilities. It's can be updated over the net and once you remove the tune from your car it can tune quite a few other GM car's and gas and diesel trucks. So when you want to move on to a different tune ....just flash your car back to stock and sell it. I bought my cortex used and it works flawlessly .

I really like mine. I use it as an extra gauge that monitors IAT temps , timing , fuel trims and maf lb/min . There are many more you can watch but only 4 at a time.

MAF lbs... is a worthless thing to watch...

IF you want to know true turbo flow VE airflow is the more important one!

I have it on mine, its MUCH better than stock, but once I add some bolt-ons, I'm going to get a custom tune

and as noted you can EASILY sale this on ebay, its not like other tuners that are unique to the Cobalt, this one is for pretty much any GM gasoline engine, so there is a much broader chance of reselling it for a good bit

people say there car spikes to 22psi and settles to 18-19psi with it... mine spikes to about 23psi and holds 20psi

Well there aren't many options with the cortex , VE isn't available.

Same here ....spikes to 22-23 and holds 20. It's actually a good little handheld IMHO, It surprised the hell out of me lol. I wish they would get a 93 octane tune out for it .

im running with the cortex tuner on mine and have loved it so far. although i havent see my boost drop down to 20 ever. mine has always held constant at 22psi.

o and im not sure if it will work for the 2.2's or not... you should try and just bum one off of somebody just to see if it would work
