Thanks, but it was an accident. I didn't figure it out myself. I am glad that it's working now. I posted this so that anyone else that might be having this type of problem would be able to fix theirs quicker that me.
I finally fixed this. The compressor was kicking out when letting off of the gas and as the engine was coming to an idle. I replaced the expansion valve and screen. They both had some metal in them. This did not fix the problem. I noticed that as the engine was coming to an idle it would stumble...
Got a chance to look at the car. The compressor runs fine when the car is idling in drive. If I rev the engine to about 1200 RPMs and then let off of the gas the compressor clutch kicks out for a few seconds until the idle speed stabilizes, then it kicks in again. This is why the air gets warm...
Ok, I'll check on that when I get a chance. I don't know when I'm going to get to work on the car again. It's 2 1/2 hours away from me and when it's here I dont' get much time to look at it.
It was over charged, but that has been adjusted. I don't know if the controls are vacuum operated or electric, but I'm going to check for vacuum leaks and see if that might be the problem.
The air conditioner on my '06 Cobalt works fine while driving down the road, but blows warm air when stopped. The gas was checked and the pressure was adjusted, and the condenser was cleaned. The engine cooling fan is blowing when the air is turned on. I don't know why it blows warm air when...
I had to replace the brake booster on mine. The brake lights would stay on and the cruise control wouldn't work. It only happened if I was running 50 MPH or more and then lightly applied the brakes. I replaced the brake light switch 3 times and it didn't fix it. Replacing the brake booster did...
I've been talking to GM about this for about 2 weeks now and they had me take it to another GM dealer to have them take a look at it. We all agreed that the brake booster is probably what has been wrong with it all along. GM said that I had to pay for the diagnosis (to have them tell me what I...
