you can wire an aftermarket shift light to any vehicle. I don't see the slightest reason to put one in an automatic besides rice. :think: i see what you mean now.. i didn't know the base models had a stupid indicator in the instrument cluster. I doubt it'd be possible to just swap in the cluster.

knock the old ring gear off with a punch, heat the new ring gear in the oven 350-400 degrees for 45 mins put fly wheel in the freezer for 45 mins then take them out put them together let them reach room temp and bingo like it were welded. also i'm not sure on the cobalt but some cars the teeth...
