SO got a call from Mechanic, and it will about $500 to fix it. He suggested to install a new engine rather for about $700 what do you guys think? If i fix it, how long would it last still ? Is it worth investing in a new engine ?- bigstar101

Ok, folks so I took in to a legit shop and find out that it has a blown gasket, water pump is dying and the radiator fans are not working properly. Yeah, please do... yeah it does. So i can use the compressed air like the Air from the Gas station ?? Also, u think that it why the Temp is not accurate? or is it Coolant Temp sensor thats messed up? The temp would rise to 230F and the egnie feels normal...- bigstar101

Yeah, check the picture, he opened up the plastic covers, and undid the hose under the yellow cirlce, and poured antifreeze there and I saw fluid increase in the overflow tank. did he jack it up ?- bigstar101

Engine coolant temp sensor and air conditioning problems!
I have somewhat a similar issue... with my 2008 Cobalt 2.2L reading faulty temp. It will surge to 230 whiles its normal. What prt do I need to buuy and does anyobody have a manual or how to locate and swap the coolant sesnor Thankss- bigstar101
