Check/have checked your timing chain guides

Really? I thought I read up on it some in my Haynes manual and it didn't mention having to remove the engine.

    Clutch, Master/Slave or something else?

Wow, I had no idea clutch damage could be "repaired" in any way, thanks for the insight Yello!

Check/have checked your timing chain guides

Quite a bit? :-/ damn. Might give it a try though. Anything particularly complicated or risky about it, or does it just simply take longer? Keeping in mind I'll be replacing the tensioner the "hard" way, i.e, removing valve cover, etc.

Check/have checked your timing chain guides

I'm planning on replacing the timing chain tensioner sometime this summer, how much extra work would it be to replace the guides while I'm there? Keeping in mind I have next to no mechanical experience, and I still haven't been able to psyche myself up for this job, despite saying I'd jump into...

2003 - 2007 Recalls. Get the issue fixed!

I was under the impression that this was an anti-theft measure? Where if you turn the wheel when the ignition isn't set to "on", the wheel locks up? That part I've seen on pretty much every car, and the thing with having to turn the steering wheel to get the key to turn, I feel like I've only...

2003 - 2007 Recalls. Get the issue fixed!

I'm gonna put it off because A) it's gonna take a while to get parts and get everyone taken care of, B) If the engine turns off, I'll turn it back on, and C) I'm not a girl so I should be able to handle a car without power steering/brakes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    cobalt going crazy

Okay, makes sense I suppose. But why would he be revving past that amount to begin with to even find out? I wouldn't really consider this a problem. Just don't rev it in park, it's pretty easy to avoid doing so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    cobalt going crazy

Regardless, it's a free replacement, so take it down there and get it done, and then see if there are still problems. Are you revving it while in Park, or is it doing it on its own? And I still don't know what this 4k rev limit is you're talking about... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, punctuation would be very helpful. 4000 rpm rev-limiter? What? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Thermostat Issue

You might have to pull some tricks out of your bag to get it off, but yeah apparently it's just a simple unscrew job. Just in a tough location and an odd "screw". Frustrated me quite a bit.
