Looking to do a pan drop and filter change on automatic transmission for 2008 LS Cobalt. fluid exchanged/flushed (don't think filter was changed or pan was even dropped as it was done at a shop) at 55k.. currently 105k

I am debating doing an extra drain and fill to get the extra old fluid out. with that, if i drained and added say, 3.5 to 4 quartz, started car and cycled through gears would that be enough to mix old fluid with new? or would i have to drive it around the block.. also, if im just trying to mix the old with new is it okay to add just 4 quartz instead of the 7 or so it would need to be considere full? id hate to waste more than needed..

I was going to use dextron 6 synthetic, will this mix okay if dextron 3 was put in prior?
