2007 clutch setup question

My sister has an 07 Cobalt. She thinks he clutch master cylinder has died. I personally have not had a chance to look at it yet. Before I do what is the basic setup for this clutch. Is it a completely hydraulic system? With both master cylinder and a hydraulic throw out bearing or is it a master/slave type set up? Also any tips on what else to look for would be appreciated. The last clutch set up I had to work on was the muncie on my 67 Firebird years ago before I changed to a TH400.

hydraulic bearing. works off the brake fluid. it's like the t56 trannies
