225/45-R18 tire question.

I'm thinking of buying wheels off someone on CSS.
But the tires are 225/45-R18
I know with the 45 sidewall the speedo will be showing 4mph slower them i'm going.
What's everyone's thoughts on running 225/45

I have 225/40/18 and the speedo shows that I'm going like 3 or 4 mph slower,
not a big deal for me.

The other thing i'm worried about is rubbing the wheel wells.

Shouldnt rub, but for me thats a bit much rubber height.

Yea that's what i'm thinking also.
I don't want to spend $550 for used wheels and tires and turn around and buy tires.
I think i'll just buy new rims for $550 instead and then i can go with 225/40

They'll work fine, and it's not like if you buy them you can't get a different tire size when you need new ones. Mind you tires for me only last a few months lol

The one i posted is all i got.
I don't feel like driving 4 hours to find out they are scraped. Because that question hasn't been answered.
