A/C Compressor Doesn't Work Help!!

Hey everyone

My a/c has slowly stopped cooling the way it used to. I went to see if it needed freon and it was right on full. I think there is so current to the compressor. I tried hooking up a wire to the compressor electrical hook up and it started once the car was on, but once i took off the wire from the positive+ it stopped.

Can anyone help me?

So you confirmed that the compressor itself works, but it is not getting power? Check your fuses.
