anyone running projector headlights with HIDs?

Hey everyone so I've been looking at the spyder projector headlights but I currently have 55w ballast with 8k bulb HIDs from ddmtuning.. I asked the company if I could run HIDs in them and they first said no then they said If I had H1 bulbs I can but not to have 55w to only run 35w. So my question is, is anyone running 55w HIDs in there projectors? Or any reasons not to run 55w H1 HIDs in them?

I ran 55W 6000k in a set of 1st Gen projectors (turn signal over the top of the high and low bulbs). Had to drill out the mounting area so the return wire would fit correctly.
