well i had my car tinted at styling street customs yesterday and i must say they do shit work not to mention the 6 hr wait for them to do it. it looked ok yesterday but today every window has bubbles in it you can see spots that they missed when they put the film on and a hole in the film.luckily i got the life time warranty so they will redo it until i like it
i will have a link to the pics in a little bit im uploading 18 of them to photobucket right now.hears all of themhttp://s262.photobucket.com/albums/ii96/mikes6084/cobalt/

if somebody has some pics of a good tint lob on a cobalt specifically the dot matrix around the quarter window, dot matrix at the top of the rear window, the seam of the film on the back window if they used 2 pieces, and the wires that go to the rear defrosters. so i can show them what a professional should look like

6 hours is a ridiculous amount of time...most of the bubbles or "fish scales" should go away after a few days...holes and seams in the tint are something to complain about...

Those water bubbles go away after a couple days, but cutting corners...literally is unacceptable.

You can smooth those out yourself if you like, or take it back and tell em to fix it. If you wanna do it yourself use an ID card to work it towards the edges.

You dont have a location specified, so "your area" could be europe...:)

i have the fishscale effect on my rear window..i raised hell about thatand they "claimed" all cobalts do that and i called bs...then i btiched about the boot prints all over my seats my car didnt even have 30 miles on it....they acted like a bunch of pricks...so i took the drink i had just bought and poured it all over their riced out display civic out front. i been looking for another tint place to redo the backwindow...bt no luck so far.

The people who tinted my car told me the dot matrix would bubble but on a darker tint a peice of black vinyl over the dot matrix is perfect. If done right it won't bubble and it will stick better than tint around the dots. Plus in he rear view you really don't see the dot matrix so it shouldn't block any view.

I got all mine done and I had issues with the bubbles on the passenger window and the guy redid it no questions asked... There's a small hair in my driver window but I wasn't realy sweatin it cuz I know minor flaws come with tinting but not a ridiculous eye sore amount... And I'm at 35% tint...

tiny little bubbles are normal and they will go away within a few days but the bubbles the OP had were horrible and just overall a bad job. and the dot matrix is extremely hard to do and i gaurantee you will not be 100% no matter who does it without puting vynil or something else over it.

the problem is most of the tinny bubbles were caused by dirt between the tint and window on the driver side. he said he might have to put vinyl on the top of the rear window but i am not 100% on the idea. i have never seen it done

ya if they are dirt bubbles then they will redo them. but don't expect perfection cuz unless they are in a sterile dirt free environment there are gonna be slight imperfections but the original job was just horid
