I have an 08 ls sedan, automatic. With intake, shorty headers, catless dp, cat back exaust, and a tune what sort of power would I make at the wheels? Also what are some realistic 0-60 and 1/4mile times?

Then why do people say it's a waste of money? If the car handles well, and doesn't weigh a ton, 170hp can be a blast.

you didnt indicate what type/brand of each mod you had, but I would be hard pressed to believe youd see more than 145 at the wheels. 170whp on an auto car would mean youd be around 200 crank hp which is just not happening with stock intake manifold and shorty header.

The reason I'm hesitant to upgrade to a long tube header, intake manifold, and throttle body is I don't want all my power to be up high in the rpm band.

Not at all - 'tis my DD. Which is why I want usable power...especially being auto.

fully bolted and tuned i was quicker than stock, but still not fast enough for me. now im supercharged and incredibly happy :)
but bolted and tuned is a good place to start, it made a good difference (im auto as well)

If you don't mind me asking, how much have you put into it? I have an 07 LT sedan and have only put a catback exhaust on it, but eventually wanna put a CAI and new header on it..

Drum did you have problems with not enough low down power before going boost?

yea 2.4 intake manifold definitely doesn't get it's power until that range. i wish i still had my dyno sheet from when i was fully bolted. just got dyno'd today being l61 supercharged on stage 2 pulley and only put out 210/198.

That's considerably lower than I was expecting Lol

So this brings me back to my original issue - only having power in the high rpms. How can I remedy this?

08Sedan, how much did you spend on the intake and header?

And n00b question, what's the point of deleting the cat? just makes it louder, right?

it frees up the flow through your exhaust. yes it makes it louder, but will also add a few horsepower
