i was shooting in shade mode. so putting the file format in raw defaults the wb and gives me the ability to adjust that in editing?

lol well the newer photos...they obviously look a lot better. with the exception of the 3rd one from the bottom which i failed to focus, do they look ok? i really don't have an eye for photography.

word i gotcha. i actually did focus on the car, not the branch. there was another shot that i experimented with focusing on the branch. i see what you mean though, now that you bring it to my attention. the sign too, also that ridiculous angle. i tried to line up with the rocker cover or side skirt but it didn't work how i wanted it to. thanks for the input i would have never noticed that stuff

but in all seriousness, the photos look pretty good! when i took photography in highschool, we were using a D60... i wanna get back into photography, probably gonna start with a D40

oh sure in hs they teach you digital but in college they taught me film like i really need to know any of that... but i did learn stuff. most of your questions were answered so theres nothing for me to add
