car won't start

I have a 2006 Chevy cobalt. Sometimes when I start it , the car starts shaking like it wants to turn off and does so. So I try again and 2nd times the charm. But yesterday I was leaving my mom's house and try starting it and the car just died. Didn't leave anything on. And key is stuck in the ignition . Try jumping it from the head with jumper cables but no current. Usually when I do this it turns on. But lights don't even turn on. Can't get to the battery because car has no power to open truck and key is stuck in ignition. Don't have an extra set of keys.
Can someone help me out. Any advice ....

Sounds like an ignition recall needs to be done and you have a dead battery or loose wire somewhere.
