You can buy em used. I paid 70$ for my spare Downpipe.

Cat is clean in it.
Also you can get a 400 cell magna flow cat (OEM spec) for like 80$ weld it in and done

Was there a problem with the catalytic converters on the Cobalts? Is this something Imma have to keep fixing?

Don't think so. They last about 100k miles or more. Sometimes less depending on maintenance

You can pickup a used stock SS supercharged downpipe for cheap enough.
