Dash Mounting

Hey guys I was just lookin at my Chevy logo from the back of my car and I was reading somewhere that you can mount those things on the passenger side dash? Does anyone know how to do this? Would double sided mounting tape work if i cut it down and fit it on the back? Any help would be good, thanks.
