So all my check engine lights were cleared, thanks to your awesome suggestions and my husband's hard work. 
Dealer said it's a good idea to get one oil change from them after you buy a new (used) car like I did. He said Chevy mechanics know the cars a lot better
and could spot a hose that needed replaced/etc. better. Is that a good idea or would I be just as good to go with a cheaper option like jiffy lube?
Also, can dealer or oil can henry's or jiffy lube check my timing chain condition when they do oil change? i've read horror stories about those breaking and toasting cars. is it something my husband could check and can you tell by looking if you need a new one soon?
