try the switch first whether it be a spare one you have or a new one doesn't matter as long as it's a working one. if that doesn't help then chances are good that its the motor.

the Glass could be off track, but I would just take the door panel off and check for any visible damage, torn wires, motor smells smokey, broken mechanical parts etc...

I had a problem with my window seal and it was causing it to knock the window off the track. when the window glass is off the track it cause excess stress on the motor and could have burned out the motor....

could be a few things....bad connection...broken wire...motor stuck...burnt motor. bad switch...burnt fuse. easiest way to do this is...to check for power..and to see if power is being consumed or not

can u hear the motor when u hit the switch? could be the switch itself...although most likely the motor, best way to test is take it off and connect it directly to a battery, if it turns on, than its good, if not than bad, also u check the fuses? i havent really taken a detailed look at ours(well i have actually) but i dont really have power windows, so yeah...there could be a pwr window fuse blown...
