The 2010 with the boot does come off the same as other years.
It's just covered by the boot.

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. It's also fun putting it in gear when the knob is off.

thats why you put it in gear BEFORE you start this project lol

But to come to work i would of had to use a screwdriver to push the center rod down to put in gear and in park.
So maybe Sunday i'll paint it.
I can't Saturday because that's our huge PA Cobalt meet we should have about a 100 cobalts showing up.

It's easy to change. I put my carbon fiber shift knob on in less then 5 min.
