Last Saturday I was wondering around a self serve salvage yard, when I came across what looked to be a painted valve cover 2.2l ecotec in a 2006 Cobalt LS. I first started to laugh. But upon closer inspection, it wasn't just the valve cover, the whole motor was painted, and painted very well. I had to know what was going on, so I turned it over, checked the oil(drained of course) and pulled the valve cover, everything looked good, so I got to work on pulling it. 2 hours later, and by myself, I was headed for the checkout. Cordless sawzalls are amazing. $210+core(50) with a 30 warranty, or $160 no core, no warranty. $160 are you kidding me!!! I hope it's a good one. It at least drove itself to the scene of the accident.
