I don't know much about mechanic work, and I know it could be a variety of things, but when I drive over bumps, even the slightest ones, there is a knocking sound in the passenger front wheel well. The sound is nonexistent on the driver side or in the back. If it helps, the sound has almost a hollow sound to it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Worn suspension bushing or loose bolt, which one you won't really be able to tell without putting it on ramps and shaking the car with someone looking for the clunk.

Mine happened to be aswaybar bushing.

The 2 most common problems for a front end clunk on our cobalts are rear control arm bushings and sway bar end links. The next common 2 are sway bar bushings and strut mounts. All of which are cheap and easy to do with a little mechanical inclination. Also, if one side is doing it, the other is soon to follow. Do yourself a favor and do both sides when replacing anything.
