on I belive its 2006 up cars the chimes and what not are run through the deck's sound system which I personally believe is stupid but hey whatever I did not design the car, anyhow good to hear that you got it working, you could also use a bussmann bp/hhh mini fuse adapter to power the accessory as well if you so choose and wire to that instead of having to cut factory wiring, its safe, easily installed and works perfectly for what you need.
