Hi I'm new to the site. I e been here before and got some good info on my wife's car but finally registered. I usually do all the work on her car but now I'm stumped. A few weeks ago the cel came on I don't remember the code but it was the one that involves replacing the throttle body. I cleaned it checked all the connections and it has stayed off until today.... now she says it comes on when she is low on fuel I said its prob a coincidence? Am I missing something. Also her car gets hot sparatically it will get hot two or three times in day then b fine for a month or two. Wats up with that. Any help would be appreciated thanks

replacing the throttle body on this cars dont take more than 15 min to do so i would replace it ,plus in not so expensive neither 130-140 .U have to look up into the overheating issues and find a patern there ,the problem can be as simple as temp sensor or thermostat but couse engine damage if not fixed .

Define "hot". I've personally seen 230*F on a few occasions, I'd call that warm, anything above that warrants checking out the cooling system. Normal driving my car will rang 185-210*F depending on driving.

Figure out which code is popping up and I can check the diagnostic information for it.
