So, just bought my 08' cobalt 2 weeks ago and seem to have run into my first problem. I can be sitting still or driving, AC on or off, my coolant temp. will shoot up to 230-240 F. After tuning my car off the fan will run for a good 10-15 mins untill it cools down. I have noticed with the AC off is tends to get hotter slower, but it still gets very hot.(230-240 F)

Help?

Also, I am looking to purchase some new spark plugs. Has anyone ever used Split Fire spark plugs?

Thanks for the help everyone.

fans dont kick on until 221* so you could have a messed up fan, or cooling sensors, fuses for the fan/sensors. if its an 08 you still have your warranty i think take it to the dealer searching for the problem will be a pita
