Hey all, new here. We have a 2008 Cobalt LS. It's been throwing a p0302 misfire cylinder 2. Yes I shotgunned a little, spark plugs and a new coil pack on cylinder 2. It seems to still have the problem.

When shifting into second gear it seems to jolt, not all the time but intermittently. I read that because of the code it forces high pressure when shifting or something along the lines. From my Haynes manual the cylinders show 1,2,3,4 as you look at the engine from the front.

I have run 93 octane and fuel injector cleaner as well. Id like to avoid taking it in but might be heading in that direction.

On a side note, I think the motor mount nearest the firewall looks like it might be separated? Could either of these be related?

I'm using an SCT tuner for my mustang to view the code. I try to clear it but it doesn't clear. The engine light also goes off every now and then.

Thanks in advance, if Im missing any info let me know.

The check light will turn itself off after a set period of time if it doesn't see that trouble.

You can try disconnecting the battery to clear the code but if it's not fixed it will come back.
