Omphf there is a lot to sizing out tires vs low vs tire size vs how wide the tires vs offset

i never cared for tpms lol! so i asked the guy at a shop that i like what their policy is. they'll install new rim/tires without swapping the tpms sensors, but i gotta sign a waiver lol

i think i'll do that, unless i can get them to swap the sensors over with the rebuild kit for them for free... not sure if that will fly lol

Discount tire does a rebuild kit every time I've gotten tires from them, they should swap for free, don't recall of the rebuild kit was free but it was cheap at the most.

I would hate the TPMS light and having the notification pop up every time you start the car.

I'll be getting a second set of TPMS sensors for the NA wheels.

^ yeah i've been rolling all my options on that for a while now. my plan (depending on price) 'was' to build a pvc pipe pressure vessel to store the sensors in lol! & them leave the pipe in the trunk or something. would get rid of the light & wouldn't have to pay anything... still trying to iron out all the costs though. ideally having a set in both sets of rims would be awesome, i'm kinda against the whole 'government knows best' lol cause i can check my own tires haha!

IIRC they have to spin to know to transmit and some to charge.

I've never liked Firestone, they always tell you services that your vehicle "needs". Sure, it might, but I can take care of that when I feel like it, and certainly don't need a tirejocky telling me how to maintain my car.

hahahaha! lol that's a good one lol!

and i did manage to put my order in at discount. got my basic 5 spoke 17*7 rims on the way for cheap. i'll be tinkering with the color, figure it's time for me to learn how to paint auto grade wheels & calipers anyway lol

gonna get some pirellis with bad-ass siping lol! 225/45/17 should be much improved traction! the guy kept saying 'you need 215's for that rim', & i said if the 225s fit, put em on!

and since the tpms rebuild was $7 a tire, i thought to myself 'Self, just let them reinstall them.' lol!
