ok so i just heard word that a friend of my blew the motor in his 2005 civic si now he's getting a motor from a acura rsx type s. so his looking at around 200-230 hp and weighs about 1,000 pounds less than me. so im in need of advice to keep the cobalt in the lead, i have 2010 chevy cobalt 2.2 XFE 5 speed base model ( no a/c, no floor matts!!! no nothing). now i know what your thinking turbo charger stupid!!!!! ya rather not, this is my daily driver to work 75+ miles a day and from what i read there not to reliable ( dont know about stock turbos aka like the ss) and im not doing nos either so dont throw that out there ( ya im picky i know ). i have read on this site of someone taking a supercharger from an ss and throwing it in a 2.2, dont know how much the difference on the install would be seeing that i have the newer car.
feel free to point out if you know more about the turbo setups for this maybe ill change my mind.. but any help would be great thanks
