Try hitting the center strut bolt again with the impact now that the springs are loaded, mine used to do that on my LT.

Yeah, I used it to torque the center nut, and both lower strut nuts. If you are worried about over torquing stuff with it (which I wasnt on those particular bolts) Harbor Freight sells torque extentions, which basically have a clutch that lets go once you reach their specified torque.

Just don't get their $10 spring compressor. That's what I had till the rod striped and wouldn't turn anymore.
I had to go rent one from auto zone to finish the install while letting my car on jack stands in the driveway.
I did get a refund for it from Harbor Freight.

I also have the impact gun and it works perfect.
